+ How much does it cost to enter?

Half Marathon: £32

10K: Entry is ONLY as part of our ‘Run Like L’ – 10K Series

Fun Run: £7

+ Who can take part?

We have 4 gender categories under which you can enter. These are:

 

  • Male
  • Female
  • Non-binary
  • Other

 

Prizes to the ‘Top 3’ overall in each of the above gender categories will be awarded if there are a minimum of 5 participants in that category.

 

An age group prize (1st place only) will be awarded if there is a minimum of 3 participants in that gender’s age category. For example: Female 30-39, Non-binary 40-49.

 

We also welcome disabled participants to our events but ask that you get in contact before registering so we can discuss any support you may need.

 

Due to our insurance, dogs are not permitted to participate with runners in any of our events.

Half Marathon: 18+

10K: 15+

Fun Run: 5+ years but under 5s can run with adult supervision

+ Is there car parking available?

Yes, please see full details below:

Car Parking: In a change to previous years, the event parking will be based in the village of Lochearnhead, which is 3 miles north of Mhor 84, with the only exception being for disabled parking.

Buses: We will be operating a free bus to take participants and spectators from Lochearnhead to Mhor 84, the event hub and return them back to Lochearnhead after the event. Buses will run, once full, between 9.30am and 11.30am to Mhor 84 and from approx 2pm after the event.

Drop Off System: We will be operating a drop off system outside Mhor 84 whereby spectators travelling with participants can drop them off at Mhor 84 and then just the driver can go to the event car park, before returning by bus.

Journey Time: The bus journey will take approximately 10 minutes from the event car park to Mhor 84. Participants should arrive as early as possible to allow adequate time to park, if not being dropped off, and get to the start at Mhor 84.

Parking Restrictions: There is no public parking available anywhere in Balquhidder Glen. All vehicles will be directed by event marshals to the event parking in Lochearnhead.

Bag Drop: There will be a bag drop at Mhor 84 for participants to drop off any belongings that they need before or after the event.

+ Is the race timed?

Every participant in the half marathon and 10K event will be accurately timed using chip timing technology from Perfect Timing Scotland. Participant race numbers and timing chips are integrated. Race timing chips will be posted to participants approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. Lost or forgotten numbers can be replaced for a fee of £2 on the day of the event. Participants will be able to check their official time at the timing booth as soon as they finish. Soon after the event, all race results will be posted online and on social media.

+ Is there a cut-off time?

No! No matter how fast or slow you think you are, we will support every runner to cross the finish line. Participants will only be withdrawn from the event or asked not to continue if your health and safety is compromised due to illness or injury.

+ Where will the water stops be?

There are 4 water stops on the Half Marathon route. These are at 5.5, 9, 10.5 & 12.25 miles.

There are 3 water stop on the 10K route. There are at 2.25, 5 and 8Km.

+ Is the route marked?

Yes, the route will be fully marked using large yellow signs. Marshals and medical staff will be positioned at key locations.

+ What are the route conditions?

The first 8 miles of the Half marathon is on tarmac around the first loop to Strathyre. The second loop (5.6 miles) is a mix of compacted cycle path and about 1.5 miles of trail. The 10K route follows the second loop of the Half Marathon event. We would recommend ‘road’ shoes for this event.

+ Can I order event merchandise?

Yes via our website, click HERE. There will also be a section of event merchandise, from all our events, available to buy on the day. Payment on the day can be taken by card or cash.

+ Are there prizes for the winners?
  • All participants in the Half Marathon, 10K and 1K will receive a medal.
  • The top 3 in each of our 4 gender categories (male, female, non-binary and other) in the Half Marathon will win prizes, if there is a minimum of 5 participants in that gender category. Prize details are TBC.
  • Overall top 3 places in the 10K in each gender category if there is a minimum of 5 participants in that category. Prize details are TBC.
  • There will also be prizes for winners of the following categories in the Half Marathon and 10K if there is a minimum of 3 participants in that gender age category: Junior (15-17), Open (18-39), Veteran (40-49), Super Veteran (50-59), Vintage Veteran (60+)
  • 1K Fun Run: 1st Boy and Girl (Under 15)
+ What catering is available?

As well as the daily menu and selection of homemade cakes, Mhor 84 will be offering a special selection of food for Run Mhor participants and spectators. Food and drink will be available throughout the day.

+ Is the event safe?

Tay Fitness Events want to assure you that you will be very safe while taking part. Throughout the event you will be kept safe by a large and highly qualified team of medical and event professionals along with a large number of experienced event marshals.

+ Can I defer/transfer/get a refund?

Deferrals, Transfers and Refunds:

Deferrals: If a participant is unable to take part they may request a deferral up to 1 month before the event.  Deferrals must be used the following year and cannot be deferred for a second time. After this date, places can only be transferred to another runner.

Transfers: If a participant is unable to take part they may request to transfer their place to another runner up until 1 week before the event. If the race numbers have already been posted out it is up to the runners to organise exchange of the race number.

Refunds: A refund can be requested until 1 month before the event and are subject to a 10% admin fee. After this date, places can only be transferred to another runner.
