I ran the Mhor 84 half marathon in 2019 and enjoyed it so much I had to come back again this year. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere and organisation was great as always all thanks to the marshalls. Everyone of them made a massive difference before, during and after the race. In particular Carol who looked after us all on the bus transfers was an absolute star. Her humour and organisational skills really helped to make the new parking/bus transfer work smoothly. From start to finish this was a fabulous event

Mhor 84 half. Another great event. Really well organised, terrific route, excellent marshals and fabulous setting. Might consider trail shoes next time. Parking/Bus transfer worked well. Drummer & Piper gave added boosts. Recommend anyone to give it a go.

I ran the Mhor 84 half at the weekend – the organisation and community feel to the whole event was amazing. Every single person involved in the Mhor operation was smiley and upbeat, which meant for a great atmosphere. The buses to and from the car parking worked like clockwork. I liked that the start and finish of the run were in the same place. The route also crosses back near the starting point about halfway through which means there are people waiting to cheer you on, including your nearest and dearest! Your name and time is also announced on the speakers when you cross the finish line which I hadn’t heard other running events do – definitely a nice touch and adds to your sense of achievement. The route itself was very scenic with quite a few inclines followed by declines, and then a pretty big hill towards the end. I had looked at the route beforehand and anticipated a hill, but not quite that big or steep – so lesson learned, I should have done more hills when training and would recommend anyone else to do so if you sign up to this one. This was my first running event and I’m glad I chose this one as the one to do. Thank you Mhor 84!

Possibly one of my favourite half marathon experiences. A well organised, friendly event. Yes the course is undulating and the zig zags are a bit of a killer, but it’s definitely worth it. Hope to be back to run it properly in the future as catching covid 4 weeks before this event wasn’t the best preparation.

I run the race in 2022. Really well organised, well sign posted and one of my favourite Half Marathons. Got some tough rolling terrain but amazing views. Would recommend to anyone.

Well organised from start to finish, from the parking to the transport to and from the start line. Taking place in a beautiful location but still a tough primarily road race and a challenge. I’ve unfinished business with this one and will be back!

I loved every second of the half marathon – I’ve done the 10km twice and the first 10km was what kindled my passion for trail running. The stewards are so lovely, upbeat and helpful, and the pre and post run atmosphere is great. What’s most special though is the scenery, it’s genuinely stunning all the way through and that makes the running a complete joy. The hills are there (and the section at the end is definitely steep!) but there’s periods of flat and downhill. I was buzzing afterwards. Brilliant. Sign up!

Brilliant event! This was my first time taking part in a Run Mhor event and I was super impressed! Really well organised, fun atmosphere at the race start/finish, great announcing including personalised shout outs as you crossed the finish! And great event catering from the Mhor Hotel. Beautiful views and a great route – yes there are those famous zig zags but lots of flat and some nice (well maintained) trail sections! Will definitely be signing up again!

This was my very first half marathon and what an experience it was! Couldn’t have asked for better. The route is stunning, has a wonderful variety of scenery and terrain, and the community feel is absolutely amazing. Everyone cheering each other on and I never felt out of place as a newcomer to racing. The event itself was very well managed, clearly signposted, excellent facilities and the shuttle bus back to the parking site was very appreciated! Not going to lie, the zig zag hills were a considerable challenge (!) but i still thoroughly enjoyed myself none the less. I will definitely be recommending this event to my running friends!

  10. Audrey Thompson

Great event. Really well organised and the bus worked well. Marshalls were excellent and well signposted throughout. Nice lumpy route!

  11. Sally Gallagher (verified owner)

I’ve done this event 3 times and it seems to get better every time. It is so so friendly and a fantastic atmosphere. The marshals are fab, the organisation is top notch and the location is world class. Even the midgies love it! I will definitely be back.

  12. Moira Notman

This was my 1st half marathon and wow what an experience. Really well organised, all your officials were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Carol who entertained us whilst waiting on the bus service, which was brilliant.

  13. Jillian McHugh

Very well organised event. The course is stunning with the challenge of some hills. All the volunteers were helpful and motivational. Yummy food at the end of the course which is always a bonus. Nice added touch of a drummer playing along to some music. Would highly recommend.
Is also situated close to a loch for those who fancy a post run dip.

My first time doing the Mhor 84 half marathon and….it’s one of the best. Everyone involved was super friendly and the course is great. And yes, the zig zags are worth it for the views! We were staying at Mhor 84 the night of the run so it was a great occasion all in. Thanks to the marshals who sorted our parking.

  15. Miriam Adcock

Stunning route and the most enthusiastic marshalls I’ve ever seen – especially the ones looking after buses – something I would have thought would be a boring job, but they made it look like the best job in the world. The car parking and bus transfers were brilliant – really quick and efficient, the route was fantastic and the facilities at the start/finish were brilliant. Certainly the best post-race food ever. Unfortunately the piper was having a well deserved break when I went past him, but the drummer playing along to the Proclaimers was brilliant.
