Superb event, tough course but a great atmosphere all the way round and afterwards. Would thoroughly recommend

It may have been the weather, it most certainly involved the volunteers, the scenery and even the hill, but this certainly is one of the best events I have been to! The events village at the hotel is the perfect size to be personal, friendly and welcoming, while also having everything you need for before (and after) the run. It feels like a huge family gathering than the often soulless corporate events at other, larger, offerings. The whole day is impeccably organised from the parking, registration and warm up through to the waves setting off and the welcome back at the end. The marshals were amazing, lifting spirits throughout a pretty tough course (must do more hill training) and making sure we are all making it back. The lack of cut off times adds to the relaxed stress free feel, you just know you will get to finish and be cheered on by everyone no matter what. I would recommend this to everyone I meet. It is a must do in an amazing part of the country.

I think this def can take the billing as the top 10K in Scotland. The organisation is top notch. The organisation, communication and support on the day far better than many larger events and very professional. The course is beautiful (but quite a challenge!!!), the atmosphere fantastic and food exceptional (as always is the case with Mhor). Regardless of fitness – the fastest to slowest runner is cheered and supported and would fully recommend. Even better when the sun shines like it did for us in 2022.

    Wonderful friendly, family atmosphere.
Loved the bagpipes at the top of the hill. Visiting the baking booth for a tasty lunch afterwards hit the spot

Attempted the Hidden Glen 10k yesterday. Had I known how tough it was I might not have entered 🤣 I fell at about 7k and had to have attention from medic Stuart (thanks Stuart, I’m sore but fine), so my finish time was a bit longer than it might have been. However, the event is fantastic – the location and scenery is stunning, and the organisers, volunteers and everyone involved did a great job. Even the weather was perfect 🌞

Great atmosphere. There was a handful of lads playing the bagpipes at various points throughout the race 👌🏼Tough course but an enjoyable one!

Love love loved this race! The location was so scenic and you had plenty of toilet cake and tea/pint facilities that were all very hygienic. There was a fun warm up at the start which everyone took part in. The race itself was also very pretty despite hilly at the start and on the way back it meant more hills to come down which was very helpful! They also had various water stops especially for it being a 10k and had a bagpiper at the half way point. The most fun I’ve ever had at a race x

My partner and I have recently starting running again, and having completed a couple of Tay Fitness events, the Hidden Glen 10k was insane!! We smiled from start to finish, the views were incredible and the atmosphere was the best yet!! We haven’t stopped recommending this race to our friends and cannot wait to return in 2022!

We’ve camped @ Mhor,(pre kids) stayed at Monachyle Mhor, Mhor 84 & Pilot Panther, sampled Mhor Bread & Fish, and all have been excellent. Having now ran the Mhor Hidden Glen with my son I can add that to the list and it did not disappoint. Tough route, but that added to the overall experience, and stunning. Really well organised, great support and encouragement from start to finish, with the pipers giving an extra boost. Now signed up for the Trilogy!

I’ve done the Hidden Glen every year since it started, and I’ll keep on entering as long as my legs let me! It’s a great route – not one to set your PB on, but just that nice balance of a being difficult enough in places to keep you on your toes without being a total dangerfest. Ideal for first-time trail runners. Mostly it’s just the fact that it’s always a brilliant, friendly event that keeps me coming back, and even the lack of sponsored freebie pint this year didn’t manage to spoil that.
