The Mhor Marathon undoubtedly showcases some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer, not to mention the award-winning Mhor hospitality on offer at the finish line. Throughout the route runners will pass Loch Lubnaig, Loch Voil and Loch Doine, follow the path of the River Leny and River Balvaig and are surrounded at all times by the breathtaking mountainous landscape of the Trossachs. If you’re looking for a unique marathon with stunning views, this one is not to be missed! #keeprunningmhor
Event t-shirts and hoodies that are ordered during registration can be collected on the day of the event.

A well organised marathon with amazing Marshalls and volunteers. Loved it all except the wee road section oh and the hilllll at mile 23 .
I’d recommend this as an event for all wanting to do a marathon.

Brilliantly planned and supported marathon. Organisers and volunteers were really enthusiastic, food stations were great scenery was gorgeous, and even though conditions felt tough with heat and hills, it was a really positive experience. This was my first marathon, and I definitely want to tackle more.

Absolutely amazing event. So well organised, all of the marshals are super friendly and encouraging. Snacks and water stops to get you through and scenery that makes you forget how far you’re running. Nothing like finishing on a boat with a pimms. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you’re considering it – do it!

Absolutely brilliant, stunning scenery, everyone was a joy to come into contact with, so incredibly well organised, and fantastic finishing line atmosphere even for those of us coming in a little later. Won’t be the last time I do this race!

Loved the marathon the first time and signed up for the Trilogy. Great fun. Fantastic volunteers, amazing scenery and the best food and watering stops ever. Organisation is superb; is there any better way to cross a river and then cross the finish line with a Pimms in hand?

An excellent marathon – great mix of elevation and scenery – the views keep you moving forward. Really well organised with friendly staff at the well placed aid stations. The atmosphere was relaxed, supportive and welcoming – you finish wanting to sign up for the next one!

I’ve run lots of marathons but this is definitely exceptional! Excellent organisation with everything carefully planned and communicated beforehand. Marshalls and first aiders were so helpful and supportive. All of this means that runners can get the best out of the race but also not worry about details so you can enjoy every moment of the stunning scenery. Loved the quirkiness of the boat trip near the end. Also, the setting at Monachyle Mhor Hotell for the finish was just perfect – what an atmosphere!

This was my first marathon and I’m so happy I chose Mhor. The event was so well organised, the staff (and not to mention all the participants I met) were incredibly friendly, supportive, and helpful, and I don’t think you can ask for a more beautiful route. The quick boat ride with a view of the finish line is pretty special as well, and the atmosphere at Monachyle Mhor Hotel was perfect to wind down. I will definitely be coming back in future years, and will no doubt check out other Tay Fitness events. Thank you so much for the brilliant event!

From start to finish this is exceptional. No time pressures so it’s just about getting the miles done and enjoying it.
The marshals and volunteers at the drink stations were so cheerful and supportive it really helped you along.
This was my 3rd marathon but first trail marathon.
It was so good I signed up for next year.
If you are apprehensive don’t be, sign up get some training done and brace yourself for an emotional event you’ll never forget.

Chose this as my second marathon. Absolutely fantastic route, extremely well organised and very friendly staff. The climbs are tough, but the views are worth it. Highlights were the boat ride and the pimm’s during the last 2km! The medal is great as well. 10/10

A perfect end to the trilogy! Great route (albeit a bit hilly!), great snacks, fab marshalls and the Pimms crossing was the icing on the cake. I loved the Mhor marathon and will definitely be coming back for ‘Mhor’!
Michael McEwan –
Thanks so much for organising this event! The route was fab although that climb over the last few miles at the end… sadistic! I nearly beat my FLAT ROAD PB yesterday (until that hill) and was only a minute or so down by the end! And with 2000 feet of climb!
Many thanks to the marshals and anyone supporting along the route too. The cheers help a lot – they really do!

Fantastic event again. Organisation is spot on, even adding an extra water stop when temperature was higher than anticipated. Volunteers are incredible and give so much encouragement. Amazing scenery. All you can ask for from an event. Highly recommended.

The prettiest, hilliest and hardest marathon I have ever done! Fantastically organised, friendliest marshals and the best food/water stations I’ve ever experience at a marathon. The Pimms at the river crossing was awesome.

Everything about the Mhor Marathon is impressive ; The course, the organisation, attention to detail, the care for participants. There is no doubt that all of this success on the day is the result of the skillful, enthusiastic team work by the superb Mhor Marathon Team. Thank you all for the cheery smiles, sustenance and kind words at moments of need! Much appreciated. There is nothing in your wonderful event that requires changing. Your formula for Mhor Success is precious. Guard it well as I look forward to 2023.Thank you and Kind regards, Phil.

A great marathon. Glad I opted for light trail shoes over roads. Gorgeous scenery, great pre-race communication and organisation throughout the event. The hills are there but don’t last too long and besides where’s the challenge if it’s just a flat road! I have signed up for the Trilogy next year on the back of how this years marathon was managed by Tay Fitness.
