+ Is the event safe?

Tay Fitness Events want to reassure you that you will be in very safe hands while taking part in Swim Loch Tay. Throughout the event you will be monitored by water safety kayakers and motor boat staff and medics. You will never be far from our highly skilled event team, ready to help you.  If for whatever reason you require some assistance, just lay on your back, pop your hand up, and one of our safety team will make their way to you to check everything is ok.

+ Do I need to wear a wetsuit and use a tow float?
  • Wetsuit use is mandatory if the water temperature is 15⁰C or below, or optional if the water temperature is 15.1⁰C or above. This applies to swimmers aged 16 years or older.
